“Elizabeth Wants To Quit School 

My 2nd “One Boy One Girl” Story”

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Elizabeth Miller. One night, her Mom and Dad said “Grandma Miller is being a problem resident. She won’t go to sleep at night. She won’t go to the dining room to eat. She won’t interact with any of the other residents. She just shouts “I want Lizzy! I want Lizzy! I want Lizzy! I want Lizzy! I want Lizzy! I want Lizzy!”

“What do you think baby?” Elizabeth’s Mom and Dad asked Elizabeth. Elizabeth said “I would love that. Would I move to Sunshine Place with her?” “Yes” Elizabeth’s Mom said. “Awesome. I am starting to really miss her. The other night I went to my bedroom and cried. ” Elizabeth’s Mom said “I know baby, you and grandma had some good times when you were young. ”

Elizabeth shouted “Yes! Yes! Yes! I miss her! I miss her! I miss her!” Elizabeth’s Mom said “OK. Listen though. Think about this. You are in 12th grade and you have enough credits to graduate early. Do you want to do that? Answer me calmly. ” Elizabeth said “Yes. Classes are boring. I take all AP classes. ” Elizabeth’s Mom said “I bet baby. I will meet with Mrs. Halverson and I will tell her you want to graduate early. ”

Mrs. Halverson is Elizabeth’s case manager by the way. Elizabeth’s Mom met with Mrs. Halverson. Elizabeth’s Mom said “Elizabeth wants to graduate early. She wants to move in with my Mom. My Mom and Elizabeth really miss each other. ” Mrs. Halverson said “Elizabeth has gotten either an A or an A+ in every one of her classes this semester. She has hung out in my room the last week. ” Mrs. Halverson and Elizabeth’s Mom pulled Elizabeth out of school.
