Elizabeth had an interview with Julie, the boss of Sunshine Place. “I can’t decide. ” Elizabeth said. “Should I only work with grandma?” Julie said “Honey, we don’t care who you work with. What we do is we give you a list of 10 residents and you work with those 10 residents. It is up to you though. ” “I will work with 9 other residents. This was my dream job and place to live, to take care of residents and live wherever my grandma was at. ”
“I took care of my brother when he was a baby. I loved that. We are 7 years apart. My Mom worked 9-5 and she could get daycare 8-4 only. She thought I could take care of him 4-5. When I was little, I loved to do stuff with grandma. I loved stay overnight at her house. ” Elizabeth said. Julie said “We will get you a list of residents and we will get you on the payroll. ”
“Do I need scrubs?” Elizabeth asked. Julie said “Up to you. It would be nice because your shirt wouldn’t get dirty though. ” Elizabeth said “OK Julie. ” Julie said. Elizabeth got some scrubs. She started working. She had a resident named Jeffee. Jeffee had a tarzanner in his room. His famous question was “Are you going to hang me by my pagg?” He was being a funny ood of course.
All the aides laughed at Jeffee. They liked to be a funny ood back and ask “What? Don’t you want to go for a pagg hang today?” They loved joking around with Jeffee. Casey, an aide, always said “Good morning our monkey. ” They call the tarzanner the monkeyer. They thought of Jeffee as family. They loved talking to him. Jeffee loved playing along with them.
