The Turtle That Lost Its Shell

Once upon a time there was a turtle that lost its shell. Nobody knows why though. Maybe it floated away and he couldn’t find it. Maybe there was a sudden wind that came up and picked it up. Maybe the turtle was laying on its back in the sea. The one thing people do know is he was very sad when he lost it. Some say he was laying alongside the sea and a wave came up and washed it away. Some say it was blown away by the wind. Everyone has their own theory on what happened to this poor turtle’s shell.

A search party formed. They looked on the shore. They looked on the ocean floor. They looked by some coral reefs. They looked on the surface but there was no sign of the shell. That ended day #1 of the hunt. The next day the search party got daring and started digging deep holes in the sand. Maybe the turtle accidentally buried it. They couldn’t find it still though. They gave up for that day.

The next day the search party broke up and took ultra-lights around. A member of the search party spotted the first clue down below. It said “Blown away. ” They remembered it was windy one day. Another member asked another one “Is it possible that the turtle got picked up by the wind and the turtle and its shell got separated?” “It sure is” answered the other member. They found the turtle and its shell laying 7 feet apart from each other.
