Lift at the Senior Center

I swim at the Northfield Senior Center. The Northfield Senior Center has a chair lift to get me in and out of the pool. The chair is made for a 350-pound person. It isn’t very comfortable. It has 1 strap that “barely” holds my waist in. One of my PCA’s, JoAnne, works at Northfield Hospital and Northfield Hospital allowed her to take a gait belt and we put that across my chest the first year we used it. There is 2 arm rests that I wrap my arms around to keep myself stable. Now I just wrap my arms around the arm rests and my P. C. A., Lesile, runs the lift. I don’t need the gait belt.

Oh this answers my last question about how you get into the pool! lol Do you float on something in the pool? What other activities have you done in the pool for exercise or for fun.

I can't use my stomach board because of my stomach transmitter from my DBS. I float on my back. I float on my side.
