The next day Colleen and Russell talked. Russell said “I don’t want to make you sad but I really think it is time that we say goodbye to Katie forever. She doesn’t like us. She cries whenever I ask her if she wants to cure her cancer. She says that she would be cold without her personal head heater. ” Colleen said crying “Russell, when Jenny had her cancer she felt like something was squeezing her brain. ”

Colleen said crying “Right honey. It’s time for that because she doesn’t want to get rid of her cancer ever. If I ever talk her into doing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy someday even, she would cry. I don’t know if making us sad is a big game to her but it is getting old, real old. ” He said “Yes, whenever I talk with her about doing chemotherapy and/or radiation, she starts crying. ”

Russell said “She says “Daddy, if I don’t have my personal head heater I would be cold. ” I really wonder if she even believes in a blanket anymore. ” Colleen said crying “Right. When I go in her room in the morning, all her blankies are on the floor. I don’t know if it’s a big game to her. ” All of the sudden, Katie came walking over.
