Elissa’s dad talked to the emergency room manager, Tim. Tim said “Of course you can make a tall side rail for her bed. We allow family members to modify resident’s beds however they want and need. ” Her dad said “Good deal. Elissa needs a crib-like bed basically with a tall side rail. It should be shoved up against the wall. Inside her bed, there needs to be a soft covering. ”

“Elissa just lays in bed and screams at night. Our niece used to have insomnia quite often. It was part of her disability though. Elissa can go to sleep just fine. ” Tim asked “What do we do if she is still screaming at like midnight?” Her dad said “Give her sleep aids like crazy until she falls asleep. ” Tim said “All right. ” Her dad said “Give Elissa anything you can think of. ”

Tim said “We have a lot of sleep aids. ” Elissa’s dad said “Good because Elissa is hard to make go to sleep period. ” Tim asked “How long should we try to make her go to sleep?” Her dad said “I would say up to 2 hours. After that, I would just let her lay there all night. She just lays in her bed and screams. ” Tim said “All right. We will do that then. ” Her dad said “That would be great. “
