“Not The Same
Christmas Eve At Aunt Deb’s”

We are all crying and crushed bud because without you, Christmas is not the same. We are hoping and wanting you out by Christmas Day. The doctor and nurses said to us that they are going to try their best to do that. Tonight at Aunt Deb’s, we are all sad and upset that Dr. Anderson didn’t keep his promise. He said you could get out so you could come be with us at Christmas Eve.
Aunt Mary and Uncle Steve are especially sad because they were looking forward to helping you open some of your gifts. They wanted to sit by you and do that. Tonight at Aunt Deb’s, we are all sad and upset that Dr. Anderson didn’t keep his promise. He said you could get out so you could come be with us at Christmas Eve. We will miss you sweet pea.
Once upon a time Dolly had pneumonia a week before Christmas. She was supposed to be in the hospital December 16-23. On the 23rd Colleen went to get her and Carol, her nurse, said “Sorry mam, we are keeping her in the hospital until December 26th. She isn’t well enough to be discharged today. ” Dolly started crying. Colleen said “I know pumpkin. ”
“I was looking forward to opening some of your gifts with you at grandma and grandpa’s on Saturday night. Can I get some of her gifts and open them with her here?” Colleen said. Wendy said “Sorry mam, we want her to rest without any family. ” Dolly started crying again. Carol said “I know peanut but we want you to rest. ” Colleen said to herself “This can’t be happening. ”
Colleen asked “Do you feel good enough to get discharged today honey bun?” Dolly nodded her head. Colleen said “OK, I will call Carol and tell her you want to go home honey bun. ” She called Wendy and told her Dolly wanted to go home. Carol said “We want her to stay in the hospital and rest without family!” “Excuse me!” Wendy said angrily. “Today is the day before Christmas Eve!”
“My niece wants to get out of the hospital and spend Christmas with her family!” Colleen yelled. “Sorry mam, a family member can’t make that call. ” Dolly started crying. Colleen said to herself “I am going to get on the sodded phone with her sodded mother and tell her to get her ood up here so we can celebrate Christmas together. ” Dolly, Wendy and Colleen celebrated Christmas together in the hospital.
Dolly got sick with pneumonia before Christmas. She was hospitalized. Her nurse, Carol, wanted her to be alone. Dolly started crying. She wanted to get out of the hospital and spend Christmas with family. The nurses had no sympathy for her. They wanted her to get better. Colleen got upset and said to herself “I am not going to make my goddaughter sad around Christmas time. ” Wendy got up to the hospital and they celebrated Christmas.
