Grandma and Grandpa’s Cabin Christmas”

*This is one year later.

We are so glad you are at Grandma and Grandpa Millers’ so Christmas feels so good. It is good that Sandy convinced you to come after the stuff you pulled last year. We can’t describe the emotion we are feeling right now. We all have smiles. We are so glad you begged Sandy to drive you 30 miles. We are all happy to see her too. After we heard what you wanted to knit, we are glad you made it. Christmas feels good. We will remember this for years to come.

We all love your smile. We all love your laugh. We remember how happy you were when Aunt Susy gave you that raft. Grandma Miller is especially happy that you came. You will love grandma and grandpa’s game. We all have smiles. We are so glad you begged Sandy to drive you 100 miles. We are all happy to see her too. After we heard what you wanted to knit, we are glad you made it. Christmas feels good. We will remember this for years to come.

Once upon a time, Dolly wanted to go to her family’s Christmas Eve get together at Grandma and Grandpa Miller’s cabin. Sandy said “You had insomnia last night and you don’t feel good. Grandma and Grandpa Miller’s cabin is all the way up in Alexandria. ” Dolly asked “Remember how comfortable you made my wheelchair last year when we went to the cabin?” Sandy said “All right. ”

Sandy said “You NEED  to promise me that you will sleep until at least 10:00 tomorrow morning. ” Dolly said “I promise. I can even tilt back and close my eyes in the van. ” Dolly said. Sandy said “Okay, I will monkey mat you into bed and I will put your blanket in your wheelchair. ” Sandy and Dolly went to the cabin for Christmas. Everyone was surprised to see them.

“Dolly! Sandy!” Everyone yelled. “I thought you weren’t feeling good babe. ” Dolly’s mom said.  Dolly said “Ya but I didn’t want to miss out. I am going to keep reclined and take it easy, relax. Maybe catch some z’s here and there. It sounded too nice to miss. ” Sandy said “No kidding. When I was a little girl, I always loved going to my grandma and grandpa’s cabin for Christmas. ”

“This brings back major memories from my childhood. This will be fun. I can tell you cabin Christmas stories while you are resting. ” Sandy said. “I hope you feel better by Christmas so you can open gifts with everyone though. ” Dolly said “I hope so too. ” The next day was December 23rd and she felt 100% better. Sandy woke her up. Dolly said “I feel all better. ”

“I am glad babe. ” Dolly’s mom said. “I want you to take it easy today still because tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I want you to feel all all better. ” Dolly hung out that day and watched some Christmas movies. She was glad that she listened to her mom. She felt even better the next day. Her mom let her stay 3 extra days even so she could do fun Christmas stuff at the cabin.

Dolly didn’t want to go to the cabin at first. She was worried about she wanting to stay in bed the whole time. Sandy said “Come on. Let’s go spend Christmas at the cabin with your family. If you don’t feel good there, I can make you a comfy bed to sleep in and hang out in. I will hang out with you. ” Dolly said “Okay. I want to go now. I was worried about being run down. ” Dolly had a good time at the cabin.
