Once upon a time, Dolly’s family wanted to take her to a South Boston Motorsports League race for her 18th birthday. She wanted to go to the Jammin’ Dew 600. Dolly’s mom and dad said “Dolly, that is 500 laps and it is at night. ” Dolly said “I know. ” Dolly’s mom said “We want to wait one more year until we take you to a big race. In 2020 we will take you to a big one if you want. “

“No mom and dad, I want to go to that race. ” Dolly said. Dolly’s dad said “It is a Saturday night. It would be midnight before we get back to the hotel. We would all be tired the next day. ” Dolly said “So? We can sleep in at the hotel the next morning. ” Dolly said. Dolly’s mom said “What if you have insomnia at the hotel the night before? If you don’t sleep good, you don’t go to the race. ”

“Bring “Grandma’s Lullabies. ” I will fall right asleep. ” Dolly said. Dolly’s mom said “Me and dad will talk it out. OK?” Dolly said “OK. ” Dolly’s mom said “Thank you for accepting that. ” Dolly said “No problem. I just want to go to the 600. I think it would be cool to go to the gusto for my birthday. ” Dolly’s dad said “What the heck? Let’s go to the 600. I have always wanted to go to the gusto. ”

“If you want to go to the gusto, I will take you. ” Dolly’s dad said. Her mom said “Whatever guys. Have a good time this weekend. I am staying home. It doesn’t sound fun what so ever. I will be home watching the race on TV. ” Her dad said “One more time, do you want to go to the gusto for your birthday?” Dolly said “Yes dad, get us tickets. ” Dolly’s dad and her went to the gusto and had a good time.

Dolly and her dad had a good time at the gusto. Dolly didn’t have insomnia at all. Her mom was just being a worry wart. Since it was her birthday, her dad really wanted to take her. Dolly was happy that her dad pulled through for her. Her mom was being an ooddot not wanting her to go. She was mad that her dad even brought the idea up. Dolly had a fun birthday.
