“Craig Wants To Stay Home From The Party

A Christmas Racing Story”

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Craig Zuckerberg. One time he and his family were supposed to go to the “Billy Griff” fan club party in Madison, Wisconsin. The Friday they were going to leave, Craig fell down skiing and broke his ankle. He said “I am in a lot of pain, can I stay home with Peggy? I don’t want to be ow ow ow ow the whole time. ”

“I suppose, me and dad don’t want you to be ow ow ow ow the whole time either. ” Craig’s mom said. “Ya, that wouldn’t be fun. I will call Peggy. ” Peggy was Craig’s parent sub by the way. Craig said “I rather stay home and put ice on my ankle. ” “Good idea” Craig’s mom said.

Craig said “My ankle is really throbbing today. ” Craig’s mom asked herself “Should I call Doctor McJiggerson and see if I can get Craig in right now?” She said to herself “Yes I will. ” Doctor McJiggerson said “Yes we do. ” Now, this is the week before Christmas. Anyway, Craig and his mom went in to Doctor McJiggerson. Doctor McJiggerson said “Craig broke his ankle. ”

Doctor McJiggerson said “Craig will have to stay in the hospital for 5 days after surgery. We will let him go home on the 23rd, the day before Christmas Eve. ” Craig’s mom said to herself “I can’t go to Madison this weekend now. ” She asked Craig “Do you want me to stay in the hospital with you?”

“No, you go have fun with dad in Madison with dad. I will probably sleep all day after my surgery. I am kind of tired from my fall. ” Craig said. “I want some peace and quiet. ” Craig’s mom said “Good sweetie pie. I suppose, you don’t want anyone bothering you. ” Craig said “I kind of feel shook up too. After I fell, I was dizzy. ” “Would you like me and dad to bring you back a die-cast car signed by “Billy Griff?”” Craig’s mom asked.

Craig said “Yes. That would be great. I am just better off staying in the hospital alone. ” Craig’s mom said “OK, have a good weekend buddy. It is good that you want to stay in the hospital and rest. ” Craig said “I just feel woozy and sleepy. I don’t know why. ” The next day was Craig’s surgery. He relaxed in bed all day the day before. His mom called to wish him good luck.

Craig’s surgery went well. He was right. He slept all day after his surgery. His mom visited him after it. He got out of the hospital on the 23rd like he was supposed to. He got to celebrate Christmas with his family. He got to celebrate Christmas in his house and not in the hospital. He got to open gifts in his living room. His family was happy all around.
